Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP),

Humanistic Neuro Linguistic Psychology (HNLP) and Mindfulness-Based NLP (MBNLP).

Over the last 35 years, Neuro Linguistic programming (NLP) has been one of the fastest growing developments in applied psychotherapy.  It is a technology of achievement and excellence, derived from studying how experts in different fields obtain their outstanding results.  NLP provides models for human communication, learning and behavioural competence.

NLP provides a set of models, skills and techniques for thinking and acting effectively in the world, through which you can change, adopt or eliminate behaviours in yourself and others.  It borrows and models excellence from psychology, linguistics, cognitive science and occupational therapy to create a powerful set of approaches to support lasting change.

‘Neuro’ refers to the neurological system, it is the building blocks of our experience and is processed through our 5 senses – seeing – hearing – feeling – smelling and tasting.

‘Linguistic’ refers to the way we use language, both our verbal and non verbal communication to express our experiences and communicate with others.

‘Programming’ refers to our strategies, the order and sequence of how we communicate using our inner processes to produce results.

Humanistic Neuro Linguistic Psychology (HNLP)

HNLP is the art and science of being your best.  It’s a powerful methodology that helps you overcome the obstacles and habits that prevent you from performing at your best. HNLP is designed to equip you with practical strategies to enhance your abilities in any area of your life, such as; career, education, sales, therapy, sport, relationships and personal development.

All behaviours are activated by unconscious impulses, known as neurological triggers. These triggers are the catalysts which are responsible for everything we do.  Whether good, bad, resourceful or damaging; all our behaviours are based on certain beliefs that are acted upon when triggered by specific stimuli. Once you know what they are, these triggers can be transformed into catalysts for positive results.

HNLP Coaching allows you to identify the triggers that cause you to think, feel and behave un-resourcefully then change their neurological effect, so that you have more choices available to you.

HNLP evolved from classic NLP, the acronym for Neurolinguistic Programming.  Both NLP & HNLP methodologies offer a positive, proactive, goal-oriented and sustainable approach to enhancing performance.  HNLP, however, provides a more Humanistic, Holistic and “organic” approach than classic NLP which is more technique driven.  In a nut shell HNLP is the study of how our Mind creates our reality through language and behaviour.

One of the major premises of HNLP is that you are capable of far more than you think you are, because you are more than you think you are.  This idea is based on the knowledge that your current perceptions are limited to how your neurology filters information.  It’s your internal representations and states that determine your behaviour much more than the world outside of you.  Beyond your limited perceptions is your True Self and immense potential.

HNLP techniques are immensely powerful in contexts such as therapy and coaching (Life, Business & Performance) when you want excellence in areas such as:

  • Relationships and communication

  • Setting and Achieving personal and career goals

  • Dealing with and accepting life changes

  • Being and staying confident

  • Living without stress

  • Performance preparation: interviews/presentations/auditions

  • Work / Life balance

  • Emotional Freedom

  • Freedom from Anxiety and Low self-esteem

  • Internal and external Conflict Resolution
